What it is for
Instead of staring at every strike, you ask: show 0.20–0.40 delta calls in the monthly with OI above a threshold and IV inside a band. Then you click through. That is desk hygiene.
Screemer-style premium/tape filters are the flow cousin. Same rule: filter, then read, then decide elsewhere.
Filters that matter
Expiry, call/put, delta or moneyness, IV, OI, venue source. If you filter too hard on a quiet alt, you get an empty honest table — that is a result.
Do not filter on mock fields as if they were live.
From row to decision
Open strike insight, check spread, check tape, check GEX context, check whether Match says you can even use that venue. The screener row is a hypothesis.
Saving a structure in Risk lab is optional documentation.
Flow screens versus chain screens
Tape-heavy screens emphasize what traded (premium, side if known). Chain screens emphasize what is listed. You usually need both: flow without a book is a headline; a book without flow may be a museum.
See flow-and-tape.
Limits
No unusual-options “sweep” product from OPRA — this is crypto listed/public tape. Unusual means unusual on these books, labeled as such.
Rate limits and partial venues will drop rows. Refresh and read the banner.
