Terminal URL shape and chrome
Terminal routes follow /t/{asset}/{desk}. Visiting /t redirects toward a default pair dashboard. Assets follow the supported options set (for example btc, eth, sol, hype, and other Derive-linked underlyings as configured). Use terminalHref(asset, desk) in product code and bookmarks rather than hard-coding fragile paths.
Desktop Terminal chrome uses a desk sidebar with collapsible groups (overview, volatility, greeks, flow, tools, resources, and related). Mobile adds a bottom nav for high-frequency hops (home, charts, flow, greeks, Match). Pair switching in the header keeps the desk while changing underlying.
Legacy paths such as /btc/book or old /tools/* calculators redirect into /t/… so shared links keep working. If a desk is experimental under soft launch, prefer labeled early-access copy over silent 404s or empty “Pro” locks.
Core desks and how to use them
Dashboard overview orients you to the pair and key widgets. Options book and chain desks show multi-venue strikes, marks, IVs, and greeks where published. GEX and greek-exposure style workbenches support dealer and positioning research subject to data availability.
Volatility desks (term, skew, surfaces, IV percentile, IV–RV, regime) help structure vol views across time and strike. Flow desks (tape, options flow, volume, open interest, scanners) summarize activity when feeds support them. Charts hubs cover spot, options, market, and perp contexts as implemented.
Calculator, alerts, strategy, stats, blocks, futures, and custom dashboard tools round out desk workflows. Not every desk is equally deep for every venue — start from sources when something looks empty.
Multi-venue data merge
Each venue adapter normalizes public quotes into shared chain snapshot rows. Merge prefers live upstream data. Mock or synthetic fills appear only when needed and should be labeled so you never mistake scaffolding for a tradable book.
Coverage may include Deribit, Bybit, OKX, Binance, Derive, Thalex, and Paradex depending on asset and API health. Thalex typically uses instruments plus ticker style REST for ATM-band merge; Paradex uses markets/summary style endpoints for marks, IVs, greeks, and OI when available.
Filter venues on the desk to compare the books you care about. Thin on-chain wings next to deep CEX ATMs are expected; the terminal’s job is to show that contrast, not hide it.
Sources honesty and degraded states
Open the sources desk to see up, degraded, or down state per venue. Cloudflare rate limits, geo blocks (for example Thalex HTTP 1015 in some server environments), and upstream outages should surface as degraded truth rather than smooth fake prices.
When a venue is degraded, treat OptionsMatch as incomplete for that source. Cross-check the official venue UI before sizing risk. Soft-launch rate limits may also affect poll intervals — back off rather than hammering public APIs.
Operators should monitor adapter errors and enrichment jobs separately from terminal UX; users should trust labels over rumors in chat.
Workflow: research then execute
Typical flow: pick a pair on Terminal → inspect chain and vol desks → compare venues → open Match venue profiles for geo, fees, and offers → execute on official venue sites or disclosed /go hops. OptionsMatch never needs your seed or custody approval to show public data.
For on-chain venues, complete wallet education first. For CEX venues, complete KYC and 2FA on the venue side. Terminal research does not replace venue risk engines, portfolio margin calculators, or liquidation logic.
Custom dashboards help power users pin widgets; still verify each widget’s live versus mock labeling after layout changes.
Operator checklist for Terminal
Keep desk navigation constants and PLATFORM docs aligned when adding desks. Prefer progressive disclosure under soft launch: ship labeled partial desks rather than blank Pro gates.
Validate multi-venue merges on BTC/ETH first, then extend asset coverage. Document Thalex and Paradex feed quirks in runbooks so support does not over-promise SLA.
Never instruct users to paste API secrets or wallet seeds into OptionsMatch to “enable” a desk. Public research paths should work without custody.
